Seven Churches Visitation

Bisita is an interactive fiction "tour" and recollection of my eighteen years of life in the Philippines, the only intensely Catholic nation in Asia, and the devotion and routine that surrounded the Holy Week practice of the Seven Churches Visitation. The piece consists of over 250 pages and 100 images lifted from Google Street View, with JavaScript minigames using default input fields and interactions.

The experience is designed to be not completable — a timer ticks down and prompts replay, where repeated content loses meaning with each cycle. Breaking and hijacking the game window reveals a stained glass window-like view of each station reached.

Influences include Notpron by David Munnich, Increpare's HTML5 games, and escape-the-room style internet puzzles.
