Girls, Gods, Gaze, and Glitch
Unraveling the nature of Marian apparitions as glitch, and Mary as model infrastructure through gods, girls, gaze, and glitch. The Rosary itself originated from a delusion. Is the reward for my devotion this delusion, or all this disappearing? I'm interested in the nature of the 'apparition' as glitch: a feminist tactic of reaching believers at the peripheries.
The lecture explores visionaries through history, in the apparition as the diminishing and silencing of feminist beliefs. I'm interested in the girl body as a network technology, her performance and smoothness and virginity. ( After all, women were the first computers. )
